Want to know what’s been happening during spring practice without wading through endless blogs?  Here’s a quick summary:

• Our best receiver, Malcolm Mitchell, is playing CB due to the rest of our defensive backfield “just wanting to do hoodrat stuff with their friends”
• OL Kolton Houston has been getting snaps with the first team, playing left guard.  You guys remember him right?  No?  Well that’s because he didn’t play a single game last year due to an unresolved  NCAA issue.  Good thing that’s all sorted out now… oh wait.  It’s not.
• Ray Drew is too damn big (270lbs, hot damn!), and will now be playing DE rather than LB
• running back turned line backer turned running back Richard Samuel is looking at another change: Fullback.  Probably a good career move since Bobo just LOVED to utilize our fullbacks last season.
• Backup QB Hutson Mason will be taking a redshirt this year in an attempt to put some distance between him an Aaron Murray.  Christian LeMay will now be 2nd on the depth chart.  However, if Murray gets hurt, you best believe Hutson’s gonna be burning that red shirt.
• Isaiah Crowell’s goal for the year is to win a Heisman.  So crow.  Behind him on the depth chart is Ken Malcome followed by new-comer Keith Marshall.

Clemson has reached out to Georgia about canceling or moving the upcoming series.  Why? Because they have to make room for Syracuse and Pitt in their schedule.

Clemson, do you remember the 1996 Gator Bowl?  It was not good times for you.  I know you have to accommodate them somehow, but please don’t do it at the expense of a great rivalry!

As long as we are in the dark, I might as well keep posting crazy speculation.

Kirby Smart’s wife, former Lady Dawg Mary Beth Lycett, has supposedly mentioned to friends as recently as this summer that she would like to settle down and raise their twins in Athens.
